Akaya Windwood, President
Prior
to becoming president of Rockwood in January 2008, Akaya served as
Rockwood's director of leadership development for three years. An
executive leadership coach and organizational consultant, Akaya has
more than 30 years of experience working for social justice. She is
known nationally for her commitment to social and economic justice, and
for building a compelling vision for effectiveness and collaboration in
the nonprofit and social benefit sectors. |

Liz Bohm, Development and Communications ManagerFor 12 years prior to joining Rockwood, Liz worked in marketing and communications, fundraising and events management for inspiring grass roots groups and nonprofits including San Francisco Freedom School, Bay Area Video Coalition, California Youth Connection and Zen Hospice Project. Her areas of study have included Mindfulness in Education, Women's Studies and Digital Media.

Ann Dowley, BCORR Program DirectorPrior to launching BCORR, Ann consulted to foundations and to social change and social service organizations on strategic planning, governance, leadership development and evaluation and learning. Ann served for several years as executive director of Common Counsel Foundation. Ann has a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Organizational Studies, Alliant University and served during her studies as an organizational development internal consultant for Blue Shield of California. |

Carmen Iñiguez, Program & Outreach ManagerCarmen manages Rockwood’s Fellowship for California Leaders of Color and our Art of Leadership trainings Previously, at Californians for Justice, Carmen oversaw the Campaign for Quality Education (CQE) a statewide coalition of grassroots, civil rights, policy and research organizations as the Statewide Alliance Director. She is a graduate student at the California Institute of Integral Studies where she is pursuing a Masters in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Community Mental Health and is also a certified life and professional coach. |

Stacy Kono, Director of Programs
Stacy oversees the Program Team. She directs current programs and services as well as new program development. She joined Rockwood after having worked as an organizer with Asian Immigrant Women Advocates for ten years. She is a certified professional coach. |

Sharon Price, Fellowship Manager
Sharon Price manages Rockwood’s Fellowship for Human Rights and National Security Reform Leaders, and other upcoming Fellowship programs. Previously, she worked in international conservation building networks of local environmental leaders. Before that, she studied Religion and Anthropology in Washington, D.C. and Kathmandu, Nepal. |

Bernie Schlotfeldt, Program Manager
Bernie manages Rockwood’s National Yearlong Fellowship, Leading from the Inside Out and the Fellowship for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Advocacy. Bernie has an MSW from University of Washington, with a focus on multi-ethnic practice. Previously, he worked in LGBTQ advocacy doing policy analysis and campaign organizing, and developing social justice education programs for high school students. |

Erika Carlsen, Special Projects Coordinator
Erika coordinates special projects and assists with development and administration. Prior to joining Rockwood, Erika served as a fellow for both the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs and the Institute for International Public Policy. She has studied in Bilbao, Spain and graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Francisco with a bachelor's degree in Politics and a concentration in Chicano/a Studies and Gender Studies.

Daniel Vasquez, Director of Finance and Administration
Daniel coordinates all financial, administrative, human-resource and information technology functions for Rockwood. Previously Daniel served on the Executive Management Team for Latino Issue’s Forum as Operations Manager. Daniel comes with eleven years of banking experience, including serving as an Operations Manager with Citibank. He has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. |
